HTC Sensation ICS

I am using an old Blackberry and decided to upgrade a bit....and bought an HTC Sensation 4G (was a left over by Bell).

The beast is running Android 2.3 something....

Is it possible to install ICS to the beast with Fido OR do I have to go through complicated issue such as rooting...

I know very well Linux but I do not want to waste my time fighting with a phone...
