What if i turn on data roaming when not outside of Canada? Will I be charged for this? Will I get better coverage/range in rural areas/mountains?

Good morning @Kevinsong , turning on data roaming while in Canada will not incur any charges and will make your experience more reliable. When moving between areas of lower signals on Fido, into an area that has stronger coverage by another carrier, roaming lets you utilize other towers that may not be available to you otherwise. The use of other carrier towers in Canada makes it easier for us to have consistent access to emergency services and also our regular services. So, in Canada, feel free to leave roaming turned on, just be cautious near the American border that you don't accidentally jump on to a US network. That would incur charges. Hope that answered your question
