As of December 1st, we no longer charge any fees for unlocking requests. All Fido phones are sold unlocked since then, and if you purchased your Fido phone before that, we will unlock it for free.
If you purchased your phone through another carrier, you will need to reach out to them to get your phone unlocked.
That is correct, all phones sold shall be unlocked already and in the rare case the store has a phone in its inventory was manufacturered before the legislation went into place, you would receive the unlock code free of charge to have the phone unlocked upon purchase.
