Can receive and send texts, but cannot receive from one specific person

Hello, I have a national plan where I have unlimited incoming and outgoing texts. It's a pre-paid plan. The one specific person whom is out of the city I am in can receive my texts, but I can't receive theirs. I tried to restart my phone, have other people text me (which successfully went through) and reinserting my SIM. Any solutions for this? Thanks in advance.

Don't know if it's related but the same thing was happening to me tonight, bunch of unrecieved text messages from several people. Tried rebooting/ resetting network and testing it with friends' phones, wouldn't recieve most texts. not happy with Fido right now.

Text messages from my friends are now just piling in. They've told me that they've sent these messages ranging from 2 hours to 10 hours ago. This is disappointing.
