Can I use my new iphone with another carrier?

I'm planning to purchase a new iphone from Fido using my existing plan with them, so the question is "can I use this phone with different carrier like bell?"

All phones sold in Canada comes unlocked so you can get a phone from Fido and use it with Bell.
