I have a iphone 3gs with a data plan on Fido. If I were to buy an unlocked blackberry torch, would it work fine and can I

use my data plan from my iphone .

Yes it would work and your data option would work to an extent. Idealy you would have to switch to a BB data option (same price, it just has the extra BES) and it would be compatible with your iPhone as well if you were ever to switch back.

I have a 6gb limit per month, would that remain the same or would it be less.I pay $30 a month for that data plan.

there was 2 versions of the 6G data plan basically you need the OTHER ONE, the 6G BIS plan, ,which you prolly dont have and dont bother asking cus its not offered for it,  if you had it, it woulda worked on both ur iphone and your blackberry

what size sim card is in the iphone 3gs and will it fit the blackberry torch.
