Black Berry 8520 Network problem

how come i cant connect on facebook???.. i got the unlimited social networking plan..couple days ago it was working...but the network thing on the top right hand corner says GSM not EDGE...help pls

hi suns159,

EDGE indicates you are on a high speed data connection. When it simply says just GSM, it means only voice calls can be made, there is no data connectivity or its down.

Try turning off the phone and turning it back on and see if it fixes the situation, otherwise, it may be a problem with the Data network in your area.
