new in country; change account

New to the country. got a monthly sim plan under sister's account but in my name. As my bank account is ready now, asked the fido guy instore to change details so money gets charged to my account but he said I need to wait 3 months to make that change.

Hey @SaritaStha

Welcome to the community Smiley

If you want to transfer your phone number under an account that would be in your name, you need to wait until your line has been active for 60 days.  After 60 days, you can ask your sister to contact us to authorize the transfer and then you can reach out to us to complete it.

Hope it helps!

Re: new in country; change account

my guess is that you do not have any canadian bank credit history, that is why. you have your sister transfer your number to prepaid Fido (google other possible solutions yourself or this message will be blocked), and wait for your banking history to build up.
