When will number transfer go through?

Recently tranferred from Virgin to FIDO...


My temporary number and E-Sim are working but curious to know when my "real" number will be ported over.

Thanks for the response.  I had expected the employee who took my order would have transferred the number, as requested.

I did initiate a manual transfer request.  Apparently, it's pending "The password or PIN associated with this phone number is incorrect. Please verify the password or PIN."

However, there is no indication how I can amend or edit my request.  Any suggestions?

Did you notify Fido that you would like to transfer your number and provide then with the details? If you did they will initiate the port and you should receive a text message from the current provider asking you to confirm, you have 90 minutes to reply to the text message or the port will fail and you will need to contact Fido so they can do it again.


You will also need to make sure the number is still active with the other provider for it to work, it typically happens in 15mins but can take around 2.5hrs to complete, with all the current black Friday promotions I'm sure the carriers are swamped and the processing may take a bit longer.
