Using phone data to cast to my TV, Can Chromecast be used or do I have to hotspot my phone

Can Chromecast be used with my smartphone to cast to my TV.I canceled my internet because I get 100GB+ data.Ny internet showed I used 12GB so I cancelled it

Hi @Robert29 , have you tried it yet? I have cast youtube from my device to my tv, also music to my HTR, not sure if it's the same. I suggest trying it and see if it works for you. You may want to check out a chromecast community forum to see what others are doing and how they achieved it.
