Unable to get a Fido prepaid plan in Tillsonburg ON

Hi! I went to the Rogers store in Tillsonburg ON to purchase a Fido pre-paid plan but was refused. The reason was stated as my ID was not from the town of Tillsonburg so they would not allow me to purchase a pre-paid plan, but they could see me a Chatr plan.

I had to drive 40 kms to St Thomas to ourchase the plan and the local Rogers store is less than 200 yds from my house.

  I provided a possible reason in my reply to your other post here. Perhaps the issue isn't about your address but rather Fido phone service might not be offered at that location in Tillsonburg?

The issue IS my address. If I had ID that identified me as living in Tillsonburg I could purchase the Fido prepaid plan. That's why this issue doesn't make any sense. 

Their solution is for me to drive to St Thomas because the Rogers store there will take ANY Ontario ID. I was under the impression that I don't even need ID for a pre-paid plan.  So I have to drive over 80 Kliks round trip to get a Fido pre-paid plan as opposed to walking half a kilometer to do the same. It's a waste of time and fuel and it seems arbitrary and nonsensical.
