Hello,
Can someone advise which clause in the CRTC Wireless Code that states a cell phone company can increase the monthly rate of their customers, and if so the reasonable and allowable amount that can be charged?
Starting Jan 2024, my bill was increased to $4/month which is $48/year...
Despite being warned on the invoice, the increase is quite high. And if the customer does not agree to the spike, is this increase negotiable?
Thanks!

Hello @Shunga,
There are no set rules or regulations for what a service provider can charge, they do however need to give you notice of any upcoming price changes, you can read this article here which can explain it more.
As for negotiating the price increase they won't, however, you can always change or negotiate your overall plan at any time even if you are on a term they still give you that flexibility.
