Temporary Phone Suspension

Hi, I have called Fido services to suspend my services from May to September as I will be going abroad. However, I noticed that the $7 fee was added ALONGSIDE my original $30 monthly charge - totaling to $37 monthly. How does this make any sense when my line is suspended and I do not have access to texting, internet etc. I thought that I would only be charged $7 monthly WITHOUT having to pay the monthly package fee, otherwise what's the point in the suspending the number when I have to pay $7 extra every month??? Can someone please offer me some help, thank you in advance.

When doing a temporary suspension it is important to note that it starts on the next billing cycle, is it possible that when you added it you missed the beginning of the current cycle? If this is not the case and it is a billing error you would need to contact customer service directly and they can look into the account and make the necessary adjustments if that's the case.
