I need to rant and hope for some guidance.
I've now seen that this is a fairly common mistake many people have made. Myself now included.
When you make changes on a phone plan online, Fido does NOT display the entirety of the changes being made and it feels predatory.
I made a plan change under the assumption I'd be saving money because that's what Fido shows, here's your 65 dollar plan, and we'll change it to this 58 dollar plan! What a deal! What it fails to show is any promotions that are being removed when you change plans!
Now I'm stuck with a slightly "better" plan, and a much larger bill. All because they're only moving the wheel in a positive direction for BYOP, since the line is under financing for a phone, I'm SOL.
It baffles my mind how Fido is literally incapable of helping me in rectifying an honest mistake. Where in other purchases I'd have the option of returning or exchanging the plan immediately.
If there are any suggestions or avenues for resolution, I'd love to hear them.
