I'd like to port my Fido number to another operator. I'm looking for the date of my 24-month commitment to avoid any penalty. I couldn't find the start - end dates for my commitment. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the community!
If you log in to your account on fido.ca click on the number you need the information for on the next page under the device you will see the dates if you have a device financing it will tell you the start and finish date if you have one of the older tiered plans it will tell you the end date.
You can get the same information on the app just tap on phone and you can get the info there as well if there is no date then you are no longer in a contract. If you are still unsure you can always reach out directly to customer service and they can tell you.
