Hi,

I have just moved from Vancouver Island to Vancouver city and I want to take new fido number of Vancouver. However, I dont want to close my Vancouver Island fido number since I have given it to so many people and I need some time to inform all of them about my new vancouver number.

Can I port the current number to new fido number? However, I dont want to pay for both numbers.

Does fido have auto-divert feature where if somebody calls me on the old number, it will get auto-diverted to my new fido number? Again I dont want to pay for both numbers.

What could be another best solution?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Adi

Hey @adityakulkarni and thanks for reaching out.

Happy to have you with us.

Concerning porting in your current Vancouver Island number to a brand new line, that's definitely possible. However, you would end up paying for 2 lines with us. It wouldn't be possible to have the new line at no charge.

About the Auto-divert feature, that's not something that  we offer on our end.

I can suggest to send a group SMS to all your contacts before having your line cancelled.
