Plan upgrade for existing customers suck!

I'm an existing customer with a BYOD plan of $42 for 4GB. My wife was on the same plan till she was able to upgrade to a $44 for 40GB plan (she did buy her phone form a Fido store). I however do not get that option to upgrade to that plan. The cheapest that I can get is $55 for 8GB! If however I come as a new person I can get $39 for 20 or $45 for 30GB. See the image below, sorry for the crude writing that was done with a mouse and not a drawing tablet.

Why is this the case! This really pisses me off!!!!  Screenshot 2023-08-13 145634.png

Hu @icesnow , sorry you can't find a better plan for yourself. Did you try upgrading as a byod plan? Sometimes it will show better deals on the bring your own device option.

That was me trying to do it as a BYOD (which I'm already on). When into Fido, and they could not do anything, the only option they had on their Computer was what I show above. They did say I could call in d see if they would give it to me to keep my business.

Calling in did the trick. I mentioned that I could switch to Koodo for $39 for 20GB, and magically they passed me on to the "Loyalty Department" and gave me the plan that I wanted. Why do we need to jump through all of these steps. They told me (in store) that those lower plans are to attract new customers. They should be there to keep their customers, we should not have to change providers to get the better plans.
