Paid cancelled account but hasn't been posted as paid

I paid off my bill in Sept 2020 and is still isn't showing as paid. It's been almost 5 months. I have talked to 4 different departments and left a voicemail in another. I also have a photocopy that the cheque has been cashed. How do I get this cleared up so it gets off my credit report.

Hey @Angusshell,

 

I'm sorry to learn you're having trouble with a payment that you made towards the account. 

 

In these cases we would normally have to open an investigation to see why the payment hasn't been posted to the account. You mentioned having already spoken to customer service, can you tell us more about the information that was given to you? Did they already open an investigation for the unapplied payment in question?

There was no investigation started. All they did was send me to different departments.
