I got a letter from TSI - debt collection agency regarding a Fido account. The account number written in the letter isn't even mine. They are saying I owe a huge sum to Fido at that account. I only have one account from starting which I'm currently using and I'm paying bill on time. The agency is saying the account number that is owing debt is under my name but I don't know about that anything, it's like a fraud. Please help me, my credit score dropped drastically because of it. It's not even my fault, so why I'm the one suffering.

When someone is opening an account, why don't they properly check the proof and now they are putting all the amount on me, why?

I'm a student, so please help me out, I'm really worried.

Hi @Rupinderkaur03 , that's a very unsettling problem to have when it isn't even your account. Please contact Fido support as soon as possible to have this taken care of. Here are the different ways to contact Fido's support. I suggest you do it sooner than later. I'm hoping for a resolution for you.

I talked to a representative and then opened an inquiry regarding it but I don't know when this issue is going to settled or what will the outcome of this inquiry will be?
