One Time fee US roaming

"Pay a one-time fee of $50 and enjoy roaming in the US until December 31, 2024. Use your phone like you would at home as much as your heart desires until then!"

I accepted this offer but now I started wondering if I'm getting charged for every month?? Not one time fee for the year? Has anyone gotten charged monthly? If so, this is totally misleading by Fido.
