My contract is up, can I renew or do I have to switch to a tab plan

I really like my the plan I have now on my contract its perfect for me and cheaper then any equivalent tab plans. Do I have to  get a tab plan to get a subsidized phone, or can I keep my current plan.

Although this thread is quite old, I'd like to add a little update since I came across it :robothappy:

Change of plan upon renewal is not mandatory at Fido, therefore a Fido customer can keep the old plan even after the contract has ended. Yet grandfather plans will be seen by the new system as being part of one of the new kind of plans, for example grandfather plan with no data is considered as standard plan, hence the price of the phone will correspond to this kind of plan.

In order to get the correct prices and options I suggest to contact Fido on Twitter or Facebook.

Depends on what phone you want and what plan you actually have. Different phones have different minimum plan requirements.
