How to restore physical SIM card number?

Hello!
When making E-sim online, after restarting the phone,
the physical sim-card stopped working (no network, no internet and no possibility to make calls).
As it turned out, this phone does not support E-sim, therefore I need to return the previous physical sim card number.

Hello RuslanBoridko,

  Welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear of your situation. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to restore a physical SIM card number. As far as I am aware, once your line has updated the physical SIM or eSIM information, the old SIM/eSIM will no longer function. It is not possible to re-use an old SIM. I believe you would need to obtain a new physical SIM card in-store or from customer service.

You should note these forums are community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. If you would like to order another physicial SIM card, you would need to contact customer service. As mentioned, you could also get another SIM card from a store.

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply, it's the phone number that matters most to me, I hope it all works out 👍

Hello again,

Apologies, I neglected to mention this in my previous posts...

While you may be able to order a new SIM card via customer service, I believe you may have to actually update your SIM card information in a store. Part of the procedure to update SIM card information online is the requirement of receiving the verification code sent to your current SIM format (see here and here). Since your current eSIM does not work with your device, you would not be able to receive that verification code.

The customer service in-store should be able to verify your identity and update the SIM card information in your account for you.

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers

Hello again,

Not to worry. The physical SIM and/or eSIM only identifies the device to the network and associates the device with your account / line. Updating SIMs (physical or eSIM) has no bearing on the phone number assigned to your line.

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers
