It's sad to see you want to cancel your Fido plan, I hope everything is okay on your end.
If you are trying to cut expenses until things get back to some sort of normal, you might want to consider a Temporary Suspension that way you keep your number and plan it can be done for 2-12 months and costs $7/month this option requires you to be off-contract.
