Horrible customer service giving me all wrong information

I called fido customer service asking about a phone I purchased online return earlier today. The guy on the phone first asked me if I purchased online or in store and I told him it was deliveried to my home so it was online. He told me I can either return it in fido store if I need to return right away or go to shoppers to return after receiving the return label. I confirmed with the above information again. Went to fido at 290 queen street west and got a big NO answer. Return back home and called the customer service and was told that online order cannot be return in store and cannot be shipped via Canada Post.

What the hell?? Did fido give the guy who anwsered my questions proper training? How could the agent give their customers the basic information wrong?? It was such a cold day today and I didn't plan to walk outside at all. Wasted my time as well.

Hey @JadeYoung

We apologize for the misinformation as that's definitely not the kind of service and experience we want for our customers. Normally, all upgrades done in-store should be returned in-person at the store and all upgrades done online and via customer service need to be returned by mail.
