Home phone is not working December 5, 2021

My home phone is not working is. Today's date is December 5, 2021.

I can not send nor receive calls.

There is a tone. When I dial a number I get a busy signal, 

If someone calls me the phone automatically disconnects from the caller.

Today is Sunday and nobody appears to be working at Fido.

Are you still experiencing issues with your home phone? 

Have you tried unplugging and replugging the phone base into the wall?
