Doh - just found out how to do it on fido site and it worked. (should've hunted more in the first place):
On your phone - Consult your phone's User Guide to learn how to enable/disable.
Using short codes: [this is what I did]
Deactivate
If out of reach ##62# to deactivate and *61*[10digits]# to reactivate
If no reply ##61# to deactivate and *61*[10 digits]# to reactivate
If busy ##67# to deactivate and *67*[10 digits]# to reactivate

These short codes no longer work

Hey @salemkh0ury ,

Welcome to the Community!

You are referring to which codes exactly?

Note that it depends on the type of call forwarding you use:

  • For Unconditional call forwarding you would need to use ##21# to deactivate it.
  • For Conditional call forwarding you would use the codes mentioned by @garyoff Smiley

Don't hesitate to check his source also. All the info is at the bottom of the page.

if it works, it's fidos best kept secret. It was always a fantastic feature and then I was told they discontinued it.

I've been struggling for hours trying to find a workaround, sadly the most practical one looks like I have to fill up my own voicemail with messages so that somebody who keeps calling cannot keep leaving messages (I don't want to block them at this time).

It's been years since I've used a code to deactivate the voicemail. Hopefully I didn't screw up anything, because I did it using my keypad (as though I were sending a text code). That might have been the wrong thing to do. Should I be doing it through my own voicemail system?

I really hope I can get this sorted out.

Hi,

Only ##21# worked. non of the conditional forwarding codes worked for me. I got error messages for each one of them.

Not sure if relevant, I am using a Huawei P9+

Thanks for the info @salemkh0ury Smiley

This would mean that you had an Unconditional Call Forwarding set up.

Unconditional: No calls are received on your phone, and all incoming calls are redirected to the number you chose.

Conditional call forwarding is only available when you don't have Voice Messaging (voicemail).

I hope this helps!
