Hello,
I recently moved back to my home country for few months and want to change my plan from postpaid to prepaid because its getting costly for me since I don't have any use for it right now.
I don't wish to cancel the fido services completely either because the number is registered with my bank account.
I need help on how to change it from postpaid to prepaid. Since I'm unable to go to the fido store physically can I do it via email?
Any sort of help is appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello Rikhil_Saroch96,
Welcome to the community!
In order to migrate your services to pre-paid, you would need to contact customer service. I understand you are currently out-of-the-Country. They do have a number you can call from abroad. In addition, they can also be contacted via Live Chat, Facebook, or Twitter. Those methods can be accessed via the contact page posted above.
You should note that there is a migration fee for the process. As far as I am aware, that fee is $10 (see here). I understand that link notes being able to do so within the community. However, the situation has now changed since that post. These forums are community-driven and no longer intended as a venue for customer services. There would also be a migration fee to switch back from pre-paid to post-paid when you return to Canada (assuming that was your intention).
It should also be noted that Fido no longer has a By the Minute or By the Day pre-paid offering. Their current offerings are Monthly, Semi-Annually, or Annually (see here). You can find additional information regarding pre-paid service here.
Alternatively, Fido does offer a temporary suspension for a reduced fee on eligible lines. However, if you have a temporary suspension on your line, you won't be able to use any Fido services, including receiving text messages (see here). Unfortunately, there is no way to add the temporary suspension online. You would also need to contact customer service to add the suspension.
Hope this helps 😀
Cheers
