Can I send texts in America for free?

So, I have the $100/YEAR UNLIMITED CANADIAN TEXT MESSAGING plan that includes Unlimited Outgoing international text (From Canada to the U.S. or international mobile numbers), 

I am currently in the United States and am wondering if I am able to send texts to other American numbers without getting charged?

   Those texts are from Canada. That is, they need to be sent from within Canada on the Fido network (see Full details here). I understand your phone number is Canadian, but if you're outside of Canada, you're roaming. Unfortunately, since your plan is a prepaid plan it does not include roaming. Sending a text from the US would cost 75¢ CAD per SMS and 50¢ CAD per MMS sent plus data transmission charges for both sent and received MMS (see here).
