Can I change my phone plan without paying out my device balance?

I have the opportunity to get on an IDV plan with my employer but I need to be on an in-market plan for it to apply. My current plan is an $85 10gb ul can talk and text which is lower than it is currently. Could I change it to the more expensive large plan equivalent without paying out my device balance in order to get the (totally worth it, heck yeah!) discount?

Happy to hear about your opportunity

As long as you stay in the same category of plan or higher (Large in your case, I think) you can keep your contract as it is. It shouldn't affect the dates or the device balance of your contract.

The only change of plan that could impact it and have you pay for a balance would be if you downgrade your plan.
