How to check coaxial input in Basement has internet ?

HI,

I live in a basement, the house has fido service availble, which i cheked before buying the connection.
There are three coaxial connectors in my living room but i thibk none of the them has internet connection, as the fido modem is not connecting. 

Can any one suggest , how to check whether the connector is having a internet signal ?

You can try it, by purchasing a signal tester on eBay.

You will see the dbMv signal and the SNR ratio.
