Fido Home Internet Activation Pending

Hello, I bought fido internet from store day before yesterday and been told that it's just plug and play. But upon reaching home and connecting the coax cable, the two blue icons appearing but no connection. I tried contacting the support through live chat yesterday and he advised that account is pending 'activation' and told that will be done in 24 hours. Today I contacted again and been told that it will take 3 to 5 days for activation. I'm embarrassed as the agent in store told that it's already activated. What should I do?

I went to the store and a different agent helped me to link the modem in a glance. So whoever faces the issue just straight go to the store and they can fix it instead of hanging around with live support.
