My account got renewed and was told that there will be temporary disruption of service while it connects to the new service. Well I have no internet now for 3days and now the modem seems to only have the power light on and nothing else. Tech says account is in good standing. So what is wrong? Please help!

When you say renewed, what do you mean exactly? Did you change plan or get a new offer?
If so, there shouldn't really be any downtime. Can you please contact tech support at 1-888-259-3436 so they can check this out for you?
