What are the tags for in the community?

When I am reading through some of the blogs in the community is keep seeing a thing for a tag. What is it and what am I supposed to do with it? Please and thank you in advance.

that's good! I'd like to make my phone handsfree for my RAV4 and can't get it right.  I guess I will drop down to my Toyota dealer nd they can figure it out.....

Basically it's like harsh tags so people can view the thread easier as some people might have the same questions/issues. Say for example you were inquiring about an android or Apple phone you'd put the name of the phone in the tag eg. Samsung s6 or iPhone 7plus etc 😊

Tags are used to facilitate searches.

 

Tagging your post with relevant key terms will increase the likelyhood of your post appearing in the search results. For example: If someone asks how to turn Bluetooth on in their LG G5 phone settings, they can tag their post with the terms 'LG G5' and 'Bluetooth'. If anyone searches for those terms, the post will have a higher chance of popping up in the results.
