I've cancelled my Fido account in late May and not only was I wrongfully told that I needed to pay a month in advance, their customer service team are INCAPABLE of helping out. I've heard from THREE different individuals at three different occasions that I would receive this refund via a cheque posted to me internationally within 8 weeks. It has been 10 weeks and STILL NOTHING. What a scammy company and they require you to contact them to fix this issue.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AND FIND ANOTHER MOBILE SERVICE.

Indeed, when an account is cancelled and there is a credit balance, a refund cheque is usually sent to the customer automatically.
