new user to android LG OPTIMUS 2x : help?

i just got my LG OPtimus not even a month ago, and it's had glitches and froze a couple time. and ive had to remove an put battery in again for it to turn on, an just reset my menu on me. as well as fido saying i went over 200mb of data in one day? can anyone help me out, im new to these kinda phones Sad and know fido wont do **bleep**..

Did you install any software that may result in the phone freezing? I would perform a factory reset and use it stock (without installing new apps) for a day or so to monitor it. If it freezes, I would return it to fido if you still have it under warranty. Also, turn off your network data to avoid using up your data plan.
