how to change sound on texts only on LG Velvet 5g

Hi.  Was wondering how I can have a distinct sound on incoming texts only. You can change for notifications but that alert sound is for all app updates as well. Thanks for an y input.

Welcome to the community!

If you go to Settings->Notifications you should see notifications sounds and you should be able to customize your notifications, another way is to open the app you use to send and receive text messages and go to that ap settings and you should be able to set a custom notification sound there also.
