data tracker on phone doesn't match what my account says

The data tracker on my phone displays a different usage amount than the usage i get when i log onto my account. The cycle i've set is exactly the same but they is a big difference in the number of mb i've used, my phone displaying a lot less. If i hadn't checked my account i would have definitely gone over. i have an Lg g3. Help why is this and how can i fix it?

I'm a Contributor Level 1

Fido updates your data usage on their website after an 8 hour delay so what you see on your phone may not be the same reflected on the website. Also ensure that on your cellphone the wifi data usage is turned off as that may lead to showing an inflated data usage on your cellphone.
