Wrongly received msg from FIDO

I am so confused about the msg i received today, when i was in my school in north burnaby, almost 200km away from the boundary, i received a msg from fido. it is from 5000, saying Fido welcomes you abroad! Our travel packs ......

 

I am so confused, is there anyone who can explain it to me?

Hi liuyu19890426,

 

You must contact customer service to have a restriction added to your account that will prevent any connection to a US tower. I would suggest this if you do not travel to the US frequently.

 

You can call them free of charge at 611 from your Fido or 1-888-481-3436 from any other phone.

I get that a lot too, i work near the quebec / ontario border. Sometimes there is a delay, i get the message after i been 2 hours away from the border. no big deal,
