Windows phone 8

Looking for some input and reviews for this phone.  I've read that the 8.1 has the Cortana assitant.  I don't suppose the 8 has her, too?

There are a few decent Windows 8 devices, As per Fidos standard operating procedure they carry none of them. One nice thing though, given the lack of popularity for such devices you can often score one very cheaply on the used market. Then owning your own device get a very friendly monthly plan from Fido.
