Will my Fido plan work in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut?

I'm moving to Cambridge Bay, NU in May and I'm curious if my phone will work there.

  Welcome to the community!

  For how long are you going to be in Cambridge Bay? Fido/Rogers do not have coverage in Cambridge Bay. There appears to only be a single provider available in the area.

  Since Bell operates many of the same bands/frequencies in the area, it's likely our phone would work there. If you only plan on visiting the area, you might be able to avail of extended coverage as Fido-EXT. However, extended coverage usage is only meant on a temporary basis. If the majority of your usage was on the Fido-EXT, access to extended coverage would likely get blocked.

  If you're moving to the area, you'll likely have to switch providers.
