Switching Providers

I want to switch providers. I still have an outstanding balance on my device, so do I need to go out of my way to pay it or will I just be automatically billed for it when my account closes? If I do need to pay the balance before switching providers, how do I do that?

Hello @AmyNoelle,

 

If you are porting the number and your account is not in good standing the port will fail.

 

If the account is in good standing once the number has been ported your Fido account will automatically be cancelled and Fido will send you your final invoice.

 

Since you have an outstanding balance on the device your best option would be to call customer service and pay it off a credit card payment would be the fastest way.
