Setting up voicemail for Sony Ericsson Cedar on PayGo

Hi,

 

My $19/mo. plan comes with voicemail, but when I pressed and held "1", I never got the voice prompts all the HOWTO's say that will happen, it asked for the voicemail number.

 

OK, so I enter my 10-digit number and it didn't work Sad

 

So, I tried the 3436, *3436, #3436, The abbotsford server of 1 604 618-1123 and nothing (because it isn't setup)

 

How does one setup voicemail and what number to use? I can't get any prompts?

Turned out the voicemail had not been activated as per my request when I bought the phone Angry

 

Once the long weekend was over, a quick call to Fido fixed it.

most of the time, the voicemail number gets prorgrammed into your phone from Over The Air Activation. but this does not always happen 100 of the time. If for some reason its not programmed into your phone, simply call up fido customer service, they will give you the PROPER voicemail number to input acording to which voicemail plan you have. Since they are specific, the one I use may not work for you so thats why its important to call fido up and ask for it.
