Screen darkens on dial out

Can anyone tell me how to stop the display from blackin out as soon as the phone connects to the number I'm dialing? Many of my calls are business calls and I need to enter an extension, or connect to a meeting with a code. Having the keyboard display disappear on me is most annoying. Also often when I touch the screen to get it back it treats the touch as a number entered.

It makes no difference what I set the dispaly timeout to - it always times out on connecting a call (or even before the connection is complete.)

Whoops - it is an Acer Liquid Android 2.2

Hello fbrickhill,

I have the same handset and this is how you would do it:

- Go under Settings, Call settings, Advanced settings and press on Set P-sensor sensitivity.
- Select OFF and go back to the main page.
