Prepaid iPhone - what doesn't work ?

Hey guys and gals,

was wondering a few things about using an iPhone on a prepaid plan:

1. Does visual voice still work ? or do i still need to call in to listen to it ?

2. Could prepaid mins (money) be used for data ? or do i just need to "add on" a data plan (fido prepaid)

3. iMessage.. does that work on prepaid ?... or will i just have to stick w/ texting...

Hey Raken,

Sorry for the delay in responding to your post.

Visual voicemail on an iPhone is only available on monthly accounts, therefore you would have the regular voicemail that you would indeed need to call in order to listen to your messages.

With regards to data, you have several options. You could add a data pass if you do no wish to subscribe to a pay by the month data add-on. We offer 24 hour data passes and weekly data passes. If you try to access the internet on your phone without a data add-on or a data pass, you will be prompted via sms to add one.

iMessage works through the internet, so as long as you have a data pass or a data add-on, it should work.

Hope this helps!
