NO 3G after SUES software upgrade

I have a fido Sony ericsson 715a and I am having problems with the 3g network. I update software on my SE T715a and originally there was a 3G and H icon at the top of my screen. Now these icons are not there , the only icon is the bars with a small E on top. I need help fixing this problem. I tried unbranding so that i could switch to the Gsm and 3g option but this does not fix anything. I try going to search network but I only get one fido option. Please help me this is driving nuts. B/c it seems like such  a simple fix.

I would suggest that you contact Sony Ericsson to see if you have the proper software version for Fido and for your handset.
