International texting application?

Hi I have an unlimited naional texting plan and my friend lives in a different country and has a texting application like voxer. Does it cost me to send messages to the voxer number? Thanks in advance.

Hey @Community!

Just wanted to update this older thread. Although certain apps may let you send international text messages, we can't guarantee that you won't be charged for the text message. 

If the text message goes through on the Fido network, you will be charged. 

Most of our new plans include unlimited international text messaging. You can check them out here.
