HTC Desire sending texts automatically

I bought an HTC desire android phone in England, got it unlocked, and have been using it in Ontario with Fido .  I just got my phone bill, and apparently the phone has been automatically sending texts to an international number since I got it.

The weirdest part is that it is to a number I dont recognise. I went through and deleted any old text messages that were in my inbox from my friends in England (they automatically loaded into my phone when I started it) but I don't know why these texts have been sent to the number I don't recognise.

Anyone know how to fix it?

I spoke to a fido representative and asked what the number was that the phone was sending the texts to

How do you know the number the messages were sent to?  Fido does not provide text message details
