Can't send iMessages anymore, only re-sending as texts, in some cases I'm not getting my messages.

This has been going on for a week, and I've been connected to wifi every time and the iMessages still won't send so I have to resend them as a text. This happened ever since I updated the iOS. 

What's going on with my phone?

Hey ErinE!

Have you made sure that the people you are trying to reach via iMessage have enabled iMessage in their devices as well?

@ Community: Anyone else experiencing this type of issues? Have you reached out to Apple?
