Smartphone from HK

I bought a smartphone from Hong Kong about a year ago and have been using Fido's prepaid service (just calls and texts).  Would I be able to switch to a montly plan that includes data?

Well I brought my Motorola phone from the UK and used it with Fido. I just took it to a Fido kiosk and it just took 20 minutes to set up the account. Should be fine with yours.
