I am not in Canada since Set 19, 2017 for at least 1 year. I am in Switzerland for studies.
I talked to your customer service representative before leaving Vancouver and I explained the situation. Apparently everything was clear when I talked by telephone. I suppose to pay 7 CAN dollars for 12 month when i come back to Canada next September 2018 to reactivate my number.
I just received the monthly bill for October BUT I explained to the person that i just wanted to keep the number to use what's app. Please do something because i am not going to pay for a service that i did not use it.
